The USA(J)MO indices are calculated as follows:
USAMO: AMC 12 Score + 10 * AIME Score
USAJMO: AMC 10 Score + 10 * AIME Score
Please note that if a student’s scores qualify them for both the USAMO and the USAJMO, they will be invited to take the USAMO.
Only students who are U.S. citizens or currently attending school full-time in the United States or Canada are eligible to participate in the USAMO and USAJMO.
The USA(J)MO will take place on March 21-22, 2023.
Qualification: The American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) is a challenging competition offered for those who excelled on the AMC 10/12. High scoring participants on the AIME will be invited to take the USAMO or USAJMO.
Range: The questions on the AIME are much more difficult than those on the AMC10 and AMC12.
Question type: The AIME is a 15 question, each answer is an integer number between 0 to 999.
Test duration: 180 minutes.
Scoring criteria: Full Score of 15 points, 1 point for a correct answer, 0 point for a wrong answer.
Test time: February of each year.
